1: License Holder Company:
This is something we do the least but is the most important. Every time you hire a movers and packers company, you should know if they are licensed or not. Since you are entrusting all your goods to them, then you should ask them for their id proofs. The license is mainly the license of the company but if they fail to show the same then you can at least ask them about their valid ID proofs like driving license or voter ID etc to ensure that your goods are in the right hands.
2: Permanent Location:
Every company has a physical location apart from the online business that they carry out. So, while you move make sure you ask them their company’s permanent office address. In case you cannot find your goods, or if they get damaged or stolen, you will always have a back up as to who to consult in such situations.

3: Written Agreement:
When we deal with a company, it is advisable to always have the agreement in a written form. Make sure that all the commitments done by your service provider are duly written and signed up by him on a paper. A genuine server will not have an issue doing this, but if there is something wrong, then they would be reluctant to this.
4: Liability Insurance Clause:
The most important part is asking them about the kind of risk they cover according to their insurance clause. Also, if there is any insurance clause they have at all! Get your goods covered under the insurance clause so that you claim the coverage against it in case of any damage while transportation.
5: Cost Quotation:
The price that you pay for any service is too expensive if you are not told the reasons for the same. Every time the company quotes a certain price, do ask them to give you a written note of how they concluded that cost. Ask them the per km price, amount of fuel used, price of packaging material, etc.

6: Hidden Charges:
Always ask your packers and movers service provider to give you in writing that there are no hidden charges in whatever is done. Why leave room for discussion later? Clarify all the extra costs in the quotation even before you initiate your movement. Often it happens that they write things in the quotation which are not explained to you at first, but later they demand that same price from you. Once you have signed that agreement, you cannot even back off. So, clarify it all at the very beginning.
